(Leavenworth, Kan.)鈥擪eep your pint-sized werewolves and witches safe this Halloween at the 草榴社区 "Trick-or-Treat Off the Streets." The 2017 edition of 草榴社区's annual alternative trick-or-treat experience will be from 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in 草榴社区's Maria Residence Hall on the north side of the Leavenworth campus at 4100 South 4th Street.

The "Trick-or-Treat Off the Streets" program is free and open to the public and is a Halloween favorite in the Leavenworth-Lansing area. In previous years, as many as 200 local children and families trick-or-treated in costume at 草榴社区.

Attendees should arrive at 草榴社区's Maria Hall to check-in. 草榴社区 students will be in costume and will pass out treats to young trick-or-treaters. Parents or legal guardians must accompany children at the event, and all participants must provide their own bags for carrying candy and goodies.

Interested in donating candy to the event? 草榴社区 will accept donations up until 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. Company or individual donations are welcome. Call 913-758-6120 to make a donation of candy or for more information about the event.
